It’s been a fantastic 2018 for Surrey Racing with 4 of the 8 horses winning, and everyone of the 8 horses finishing at least placed. The famous yellow and blue colours were seen on courses all around England and Wales, a total of 38 times, with 10 of those providing us brilliant days out celebrating fantastic winning performances. Last year we won at Wolves, Taunton, Chelmsford (twice), Bangor, Chepstow, Bath, Windsor, Uttoxeter and Leicester. Surrey Hope became our first ever Royal Ascot runner (picture below) and our first overseas runner (at Leopardstown). We have suffered with injury, Surrey Hope, Surrey Breeze, Potters Approach and Marley Firth have all missed large chunks of the year with problems but hopefully all will come back to form in 2019.

2019 has started with the traditional Lambourn breakfast, 35 owners watching the flat horses on the gallops, visiting the Joe Tuite’s and Archie Watson’s yards before heading off to The Hare for a welcome, warming breakfast. We have high hopes for the year ahead. Anytime Will Do looks certain to be competitive at the Cheltenham Festival, Potters Approach will challenge in the County Nationals, Surrey Hope will return to Royal Ascot and Surrey Thunder holds a German Derby entry. Three of our 2 year olds have just turned 3, we have high hopes for all of them.

We have welcomed new owners with open arms, along with the existing owners, we have a vocal but brilliant crowd every time we race, there’s never a dull moment !

May 2019 been fun, healthy and prosperous !
