What a fantastic day for Surrey Racing with our first ever across the cards double with Anytime Will Do winning at Bangor and then 40 minutes later, Potters Approach winning at Chepstow.

Anytime Will Do was seeking his hat trick having won on debut last season in a bumper at Taunton, and this season winning easily on his hurdles debut at Uttoxeter, but facing a much harder test at Bangor. Harry Skelton waited patiently and took the lead with three hurdles left to jump and despite idling a little in front he won easily enough. This was a very good race and we’re sure that plenty of winners will emerge from it in the next few weeks. Anytime will now be aimed at the Supreme Novice Trial at Cheltenham on November 18th.

Potters Approach just loves galloping over 3 miles, Bridget Andrews switched him off at the back of the field, let him run at his own pace before giving him a little push with two out. He ran on readily for a very impressive win, especially considering this was only his second run after being out injured for 500 days. Cue celebrations at Chepstow, and in the Bangor O&T restaurant (the Racing Post remarked on this !!) where Harry and Dan Skelton joined the owners for an impromptu party !!
Potters will now be aimed at the County Nationals, decent handicaps over 3+ miles.

Even better, this was an ROA bonus race, so we picked up an extra £2000 for our troubles !

There will be many more great days out for owners of both of these lovely horses!
