The weather was ruining racing around the country, including the planned return of Anytime Will Do at Chepstow but that didn’t stop a few hardy souls braving atrocious conditions for the inaugural Surrey Racing Golf Day fantastically hosted by the good folk at the Silvermere Golf Club in Surrey.
They say a bad day on the course beats a good day in the office and although at times it didn’t quite feel like that, once we had all managed to complete 18 holes and return to the relative safety of the clubhouse the banter started and the awards handed out to varying degrees of heckling !  A great time was had by all and I’m sure it will become an eagerly awaited annual fixture nestled somewhere between our summer racing calendar!
Congrats to Hugh, Paul and James our main trophy winners.
