Dan Skelton had Marley Firth looking great for his appearance alongside some of the country’s top novice hurdlers. In only his second start he ran a great race to finish 4th, behind On The Blind Side who will surely go on to win bigger and better races. Marley did run a bit green at the start and burnt up too much energy jumping the fences to have enough in the tank to compete at the business end, but he encouraged us with the way he did keep on galloping at the end. There’s no doubt we have a talented horse who will win decent races at Grade level especially with conditions (softer ground) in his favour.
