More sad news to hit Surrey Racing these past few months with shocking news that Anytime Will Do fatally injured himself in the paddocks. He had torn a hamstring, which in turn chipped a bone on his pelvis, but seemed to be well himself. Unfortunately that sharp bone seems to have pierced an artery and nothing could be done to save him. The vet was on hand and ‘Willie’ didn’t suffer which at least gave the owners some comfort.

He was a horse who had so much potential, winning his first three races, and had us all dreaming of big things at the Cheltenham Festival. We didn’t quite make it but have enjoyed some super days out and were planning this year to embark on a novice chasing career which now has been frustratingly cut short.

We can’t thank Dan and his team for everything they have done for AWD over the years, and especially today in his time of need.

He will be sorely missed.
