We will be visiting the Arqana Breeze Up Sale in Deauville in May and will be buying a horse to go into training with Tim Donworth in Chantilly, just outside Paris. The average race value in France is just under 25,000 euros, plus the added bonus of Owners' Premiums for French bred horses that finish in the first five places in any race on top of any prize money won.

Surrey Shadow was one of only two horses in the sale that Matt Coleman and Anthony Stroud both agreed were worth bidding for at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up Sale after he posted a top 30 time with very impressive stride length data, so we are thrilled to land the Territories colt who will be trained by Tom Clover and is expected excel as a 3 year old over 8 furlongs.

He’s a lovely scopey individual with a strong and powerful walk although light on his toes typical of the Galileo line. We love the way he rolls into a trot, comes up and forward. Big ears and a kind eye. He’s certainly got plenty of character and his training is going to plan. We expect him to debut in a bumper as a 5 year old early in the 2024 season, he’s got a lovely future ahead!
