How Does It Work?
Race horse ownership with Surrey Racing explained…
Joining a Surrey Racing syndicate couldn’t be easier and with the inevitable highs and lows of racing, we can promise you that ownership will never be dull!
You can join the excitment in three simple steps:

1. Purchase a share
Surrey Racing shares represent either 2.5%, 5% or 7.5% of the purchase price of the horse and typically are valued between £1,250 for a 2.5% share up to £6,500 for a 7.5% share.
This is a one off fee - you then own your share!
Surrey Racing retains between 20-25% in every horse so that we share the highs and lows of racehorse ownership with you.

2. Fixed Monthly Fee
The monthly fees per share are; £275 per 7.5% share, £190 per 5% share and £100 per 2.5% share.
These are all-inclusive, fixed fees to cover training fees and miscellaneous expenses such as vet fees, transport, race entries, jockey fees etc.

3. Commitment
The minimum commitment from an owner is 12 months.
After this period, you are free to leave with no further obligation, although in reality the great majority of our owners continue with the horse until it is sold or retired.

Winners are what we all want but above all else, we never lose sight of the fact that win or lose, we need to ensure our syndicate members have the opportunity to enjoy racing as it should be – social, fun and a great experience.
Raceday
Two Owners & Trainers badges every time your horse runs for 7.5% shareholders, (1 O&T badge for 5% shareholders, no guaranteed badges for 2.5% but we will try our best to get extra).
Access to the Owners & Trainers enclosure.
The opportunity to meet with trainer and jockey to discuss tactics before the race.
Benefits
Our syndicates are deliberately small with typically a maximum 12 owners per horse.
Unlike Racing Clubs you’ll own shares in your horse, not lots of bits in lots of horses.
Pro-rata shares of all winnings and sales profits in line with your percentage share.
Regular stable visits to see your horse and discuss progress and plans with the trainer.
Regular social events with co-owners and trainers.
