Billy Aprahamian was Assistant Trainer to Nicky Henderson at Seven Barrows Racing Stables for the past three seasons looking after Surrey Quest and Gran Luna. He has now decided with the experience learnt to start his own training career and we are very happy to support him. Prior to that Billy was in the British Army, commissioned into the First Battalion Irish Guards,

Billy won the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown on the Henderson trained Baden before joining the Champion Trainer. Nicky has been pleased with Billy’s work within his team, saying: "You can see a military background in him in how he handles most things. ‘It's precise. It's well done. It's well thought out. If we say we're going to do something, it's done."

Billy is going to be a great addition to the Surrey Racing roster.
