Noir Shines at Kempton

On a very sultry Kempton evening, Surrey Noir and the syndicate owners finally found the back of the net after him and James Doyle had two very close seconds. This time there was no mistake as the pair made it third time lucky in a very professional performance with the result never really in any doubt.
Keeping out of trouble from the off and settling towards the rear, Doyle piloted Surrey Noir into contention in the home straight and as the gaps opened Noir lit up and pulled away from the rest of the field winning by a very cosy 2 1/2 lengths, much to the delight of Team Fellowes and the owners present.

We will see what the handicapper does but Charlie thinks that maybe a step back to 6 furlongs may see further improvement but there’s no doubt there’s more to come as the big gelding starts to strengthen and will probably show his best in his 4 year old career.

Congrats to all involved!
