We are delighted to offer shares in Surrey King who we, with the help of Hughie Morrison, purchased for 52,000 Gns in Book 2 of the 2024 Tattersalls Yearling Sale.

The pedigree speaks for itself, the sire, Palace Pier, rated the best son of the mighty Kingman, was an outstanding miler who won 5 Group 1s. Palace Pier beat Pinatubo in the G1 St James Palace and ran Baaeed to a neck conceding weight in the QE II on Champions Day.  

The dam, Highgarden, a granddaughter of the legendary Galileo, won a Group 3 over 12 furlongs and was rated 104. Surrey King is her third offspring.

Surrey King is a strapping colt who started at Newbury over 8 furlongs, unfortunately he was slow into the stalls, and just as slow out when the gates opened! However, he will get better with age and as he strengthens, is likely to develop into an extremely exciting middle-distance prospect
