Our weekly round up of Surrey Racing news and views on the wider racing world

When September Comes!
We got back to winning ways with a dominate performance from Surrey Fire to record a pillar to post victory. Too much rain at Salisbury, and not enough at Haydock thwarted Surrey Shadow.
End of August Update
Surrey Fire and Surrey Shadow are back racing this week, plus Toby Lawes Open Day. loads to look forward to and we can’t wait to get racing again after a blank August.

August 24th Update
The horses need rain ! Surrey Fire and Surrey Shadow are ready to run but want some cut in the ground, Fire will try at Thirsk on Friday. The NH season is only 6 weeks away and our 3 are all in fine shape …..

August 17th Update
Congrats to all those who have been rewarded for hard study in the A level grades and good luck on their next life journey.
Have we been lucky with our purchase of Study of Man’s Surrey Moon, read on to hear potentially why ….

10th August Update
The good weather isn’t helping our horses who all need some cut in the ground so we have to be patient and await a turn and as full autumn campaign …

Into August
The good weather continues as we head in August, but thoughts are turning to the NH trio who are all back in training. However it’s the flat that dominates and Surrey Shadow may return from a minor injury at Haydock on Saturday, especially if the rain comes.

July 27th Update
Glorious Goodwood is upon and us and we will be there every day enjoying the racing, so come and find us and say hello.

July 20th Update
We hope to see Surrey Fire back in action this week with two potential races at Sandown and York on Friday. The NH horses are returning to training and the two year olds are nearer their debuts.

July 6th Update
Surrey Fire finished 5th at Chelmsford this week, not really suited by the gruelling all weather track conditions. A quiet few weeks to come for us before the excitement builds as the first two year old looks to debut.

Still Flaming June
Another super trip to France at the weekend to see Surrey Etoile on the gallops and to take in racing at the beautiful Chantilly. This week, Surrey Fire returns to Chelmsford on Tuesday, stepping up to 2 miles …..

June 22nd Update
Unfortunately Surrey Fire was a non runner at Pontefract today, he’ll be back soon enough. Surrey Shadow is healing well and we are off to Chantilly at the weekend to see Surrey Etoile. Hopefully a runner at Royal Ascot next year!

June 15th Update
Surrey Shadow ended up with a nasty cut at Newbury last Thursday which we await a scan to find out how serious that is. Surrey Fire may be at Ponte next Sunday, good luck to his connections.
Unfortunately no Royal Ascot for us this year ….

June 8th Update
If we get a shower this week then Surrey Shadow and Neil Callan will be in action at Newbury on Thursday, aiming to draw a line through his last Sandown performance.

1st June Update
Two runners this week, both gallant efforts from Surrey Shadow (lost shoe) and Surrey Fire (much improved) but failing to trouble the judge, the Royal Ascot dream has to wait another year.

End of May Update
We are back racing this week with Surrey Shadow aiming to win on Sandown’s fantastic Thursday card, and then off to Chelmsford Sunday Series, live on ITV with Surrey Fire. Good luck to the owners ….

11th May Update
The closing hole and the 19th hole will welcome owners and trainers at Silvermere Golf Club on Tuesday for the annual Surrey Racing Golf Day with reigning champion Tom Clover looking to defend his title!
The lovely weather is good for golf, but it means our horses are still waiting for some easier ground conditions and unlikely to be seen on the track this week.

May the fourth be with you
A quiet week with the firmer ground conditions putting a hold on entries for now. Surrey Fire was fine after his season reappearance so he’ll be out again soon, along with Surrey Shadow as the 4 years olds look set to win races this season.

27th April Update
We can’t wait for Surrey Fire’s seasonal reappearance at Lingfield tomorrow. Already a course winner there he’s been working well at home so fingers crossed for a good start to his season.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to you.
A quiet week without runners this week, or next but we have runners lining up to complete the NH season and the flat horses are already looking at big targets, read on for the latest

13th April Update
The owners enjoyed a cracking day’s racing at Ayr but unfortunately Surrey Quest’s quest to go one better in the Scottish Grand National was ended by falling at the very first fence. Both horse and jockey were fine afterwards so he’ll be back on the racecourse soon enough.
