It was great to see Surrey Lord and Hillsyde Hope in the new Lambourn home this week. We can’t wait to see them both on the track in about a month’s time.

It was great to go racing again and Surrey Bolt had a decent debut at Goodwood on ground that was far from ideal. We are already looking forward to his next run!

When September Comes … we go racing! Regular readers have followed the trials and tribulations and being a racehorse owner and we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries this year. However, on the positive side, Surrey Bolt, our talented New Bay colt makes his debut at Goodwood in a hot maiden on Tuesday.

It was great to see Surrey Shadow winning on the beach in Spain, Surrey Quest will be at the Lambourn Show and Surrey Bolt is close to an eagerly awaited debut.

Unfortunately, Surrey Etoile’s injury hasn’t responded to treatment well enough for him to take on horse racing so he will be retired from training and we will ensure he finds a loving home in France. We wish him well and won’t forget our visits to the beautiful Chantilly gallops.

Glorious Goodwood was just that, and now we head into August, more sun and more good to firm racetracks - and unfortunately not a Surrey Racing runner on the cards just yet.

All quiet at Surrey Racing with the continued injury woes dominating on the longest day. Frustrating to say the least, hopefully Royal Ascot next year!

Surrey King’s German Derby aspirations are over but we are convinced he will be performing on the big stage as some point. A little quiet now for a few weeks with no Derby or Oaks entries !

Tom Clover won the 2026 Surrey Racing Golf Day, the second time in 3 years, congrats to him.

Surrey King is running at Kempton this week - hoping the penny will finally drop.

Yesterday we had an enjoyable owners visit to see Surrey Moon and Surrey Bolt at the Clover’s in Newmarket. This week the annual Surrey Racing Golf Day.

It was great to welcome a new horse to the Surrey Racing stable, Hillsyde Hope endured a long 24 hour journey from Ireland but looked remarkably well when he arrived at Toby’s.
No runners this week, Surrey Moon and King poised to run before the month is out.

Surrey King was disappointing in his seasonal reappearance today at Salisbury - he’s so much better than what he showed. Surrey Lord could be at Haydock on Saturday…..

The firm ground meant our two expected runners last weekend didn’t make the start line. Surrey King tries again on Sunday at Salisbury, hopefully some rain arrives before then!

It could be a super Saturday as two of our horses are back in action after some time off. Surrey King takes on some high cost purchases at Leicester while Surrey Lord takes part in the NH finale at Sandown, good luck to all involved.
