Surrey Hope a rising star at Epsom

Surrey Hope has suffered quite a few issues over the past two years and we had hoped a move to Hughie Morrison and a different style of training would rejuvenate Hop but his first two comeback rides have been fairly disappointing.

Running out of options we thought we would try the quirkiness of the Epsom track to see whether it might make a difference, and what a surprise to be duly rewarded. Hope bounced into the lead when the stalls opened and under a mainly hands and heels ride he maintained a high tempo gallop that had the opposition floundering in his wake.

Surrey Hope ran on well to win by 2 lengths and we are really excited about what the future may hold for a horse many had given up on.

Has there been a more emotional win for Surrey Racing? Not yet…
