Surrey Thunder storms to first Graded win

It was a beautiful summer’s day in Northern France and the owners traveled over in numbers as always, hopeful for a performance that we know Thunder is capable of. We were not disappointed as Alexis eased Thunder from seventh to first around the home turn and lengthened to win easily from the classy Teofilo filly Eliade.

Alexis joined us in the champagne tent after racing and we all shared the emotions of one of the best ever Surrey Racing days.

Surrey Thunder loves his traveling, as do the owners, so we have identified two more potential races on the continent, The Prix Turenne at St Cloud, Paris on Sept 13th, and on Sunday Sept 22nd in Milan, The Federico Tesio, plus maybe the Group 3 Legacy Cup at Newbury on Saturday 21st.
