Surrey Pride wins

On his favoured going, give in the ground, he was a little warm before hand and started keenly, but Charlie Bishop held him up in the rear and allowed him to find his own rhythm.

With 4 furlongs to go the pace quickened and Pride slowly worked his way through the field. At the two furlong pole Pride and HMS President set for home, both pulling away from some decent older horses, but Pride and Charlie were the stronger of the two and always looked like holding out, winning by a neck.

He’s still a big baby and will learn from the race, there’s bigger and better races to be won that’s for sure.
