Gran Luna justified short odds to win her debut over hurdles in a Class 2 Novice at Newbury.

Surrey Pride came from last to first under a cracking ride from Richard Kingscote to win the class 4 GoRacingGreen Handicap over 1 mile and 2 furlongs around Chester’s tight bends.

It’s taken a while to get Surrey Pride right this year, he’s had a few niggles since a very promising two year old campaign which meant he missed his date with the German Derby but now he’s finally looking back to his best and proved our high hopes about him correct with a storming win at Newbury in a class 4 handicap.

Our first runner of the New Year was Marley Firth at a very wet Chepstow racecourse on January 6th. Amazingly, some owners travelled from as far away as Durham and Scotland to watch Marley, who in fairness, hasn’t given them much to cheer in the past few years. When he has performed, Chepstow does seem to be his favourite course with a win and a 3rd place in his previous outings.

All good things come to an end and we have sold Surrey Thunder and Surrey Hope. We wish both horses well, they have been dream horses for the Syndicate and we hope the new owners have as much fun with them as we have.

Surrey Racing added another winner at Bath to our growing list of successes. This was our third win in the last four races, and this time it’s from the two year old Surrey Pride.

Surrey Hope returned to form with a stunning win at Epsom’s famous Downs course under a very enterprising ride from Jason Watson, who is fast becoming Surrey Racing’s go to jockey.

What a fantastic achievement in Clairfontaine as Surrey Thunder stylishly won a Grade 1 Listed race, The Clairefontaine Grand Prix, a first for Surrey Racing, under an impeccable ride from the talented Alexis Badel.

What a superb effort from Surrey Thunder to place in the Prix Noailles at Paris Longchamp against tough opposition, every one of his competitors having a Prix du Jockey Club entry.

What a fantastic day for Surrey Racing with our first ever across the cards double with Anytime Will Do winning at Bangor and then 40 minutes later, Potters Approach winning at Chepstow.

Surrey Thunder is our latest winner when, under a powerful driving ride from Oisin Murphy, he held on to win by a head in a Class 5 Novice Stakes over a mile at Windsor.

Win number 5 of 2018 for Surrey Blaze, making him the top 3 year old in the UK in terms of wins!

What a day at Leicester, England winning in the World Cup Quarter Final and Surrey Blaze winning his 4 race of the year, and more importantly his first on the turf.
